Chocolate chip cookies

  • All-purpose flour - ½ cup
  • Room temperature unsalted butter - 50 g
  • White sugar - 2 tablespoons
  • Brown sugar - ¼ cup
  • Oats - 2/3 cup
  • Cold egg - 1
  • Milk - 1 cup
  • Vanilla extract - ½ teaspoon
  • Baking soda - ¼ teaspoon
  • Chocolate chips - 1 cup
  • Salt - ¼ teaspoon


Preheat oven to 180 degrees C and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Mix white and brown sugar with butter in the Masterchef Gourmet stainless steel bowl using the beater on medium speed until creamy.

Add the egg and the milk and mix for 1 minute then put the vanilla extract and mix again for 2 minutes.

Sift the flour, salt and baking soda over the ingredients in the bowl.

Knead the ingredients until batter is soft then add the oats and chocolate chips and knead again on low speed using the beater.

Scoop heaping tablespoons of the dough onto the prepared baking sheet. Space the cookies about 5 cm apart on the baking sheet.

Bake for 12 minutes until edges are golden.

Allow to cool before serving.
