Bechamel pasta recipe


For 4 people

  • Penne pasta - 300 g
  • Gruyere cheese - 100 g
  • Sliced fresh mushrooms - 1 ½ cups
  • Peeled carrots - 2
  • Frozen spinach, melted - ½ cup
  • Butter - 1 tablespoon
  • Chopped basil - 2 tablespoons
  • To prepare the béchamel sauce:
  • Flour - 50 g
  • Milk - 3 cups
  • Melted butter - 50 g
  • Salt - To taste
  • White pepper - 1 teaspoon
  • Chopped green onions - ¼ cup


Cook the pasta following the pack instructions. Drain and put aside in a baking dish.

Cut the carrots into round slices using the stainless steel disc of the Moulinex Masterchef 9000 food processor.

Heat the butter in a pan and sauté the carrots with basil for 4 minutes. Add the spinach and cook for 2 minutes then add the mushrooms and cook for 4 to 5 more minutes.

Preheat the oven to 190°C.

To prepare the béchamel sauce: put the flour in the Masterchef 9000 blender and pour the melted butter over it.

Blend then add the milk and green onions gradually while mixing continuously.

Season the sauce with salt and white pepper. Transfer to a saucepan and simmer on low heat for 10 minutes until thick.

Pour the sauce over the pasta and add the mushrooms, carrots and spinach.

Grate the gruyere cheese using Masterchef 9000’s stainless steel disc.

Sprinkle cheese on top of the pasta and bake for 25 minutes until golden.

Serve hot.
